New Class Series

Mondays: 6-7pm Single Moms' Support Group, "Healthy Mommies, Happy Kids"
Feb.11-June 16, this 15 week series gives tips for developing healthier lifestyle habits that
single moms often struggle with. C'mon, girls, together let's tackle getting more fit!
Attendance required at 10 classes for certificate. For single moms only, except special events.

Wednesdays: 9-9:30am Moms' Morning Break
Feb 13-June 11, a buffet of breakfast snacks served in our LA Cafe, giving moms and children
a chance to build friendships. Open to all moms.

9:30-11:00am Quick & Healthy Meals
Feb. 13-June 11, this hands-on cooking class taught by a dietician and mother of 5, is a fun
way to learn how to easily prepare nutritious meals kids will love. Due to class size limitations,
those attending are rotated to give more a turn.

9:30-10:15am Lamaze Birth & Parenting
Feb.13-June 11, learn tips for pregnancy, birth, and baby care from Lamaze International
material. Or if you've "been there done that" already, join the class to learn mentoring and
doula skills. Attend 12 classes for certificate.

9:30-11:00am Creative Childbirth Preparation (last Wed. of the month)
Feb. 27-May 28, this class uses art to help you express your thoughts and feelings about birth, an help develop personal resources for the work of labor and birth.

10:15-11:00am Raising Brighter Kids
Feb.13-Apnl 16, The Bowdoin Method of how to teach your preschooler at home. 50% of
your child's intelligence is acquired by age 4 - learn simple ways to give your child a great
start! For any mom. Attendance at 7 classes needed for a certificate.

10:15-11:00am Child Safely & First Aid
April 30-June 11, Compile a first aid kit that will be complete by the last week (all supplies
included), learn how to prevent or treat all kinds of injuries and ailments possible for kids. For
any mom. Attendance at 7 classes needed for a certificate.

10-11am United States Citizen Preparation Class
Feb.13-June 11, Leam the basics on what is needed to become a US citizen.
